Emily & Ben’s Festival Wedding
Emily and Ben’s Festival Wedding…
Our festival wedding was very DIY. I had so much fun throughout the planning process (did someone say colour-coded spreadsheets?). But about nine months before, we started to think about timelines on the day. We decided we didn’t want the stress of coordinating everything the day ourselves, or putting that pressure on our families. We decided to look into an on-the-day wedding coordinator – and I’m SO glad we worked with Kate!
Kate is one of the most organised, level-headed and friendly people I’ve ever met. This is exactly what you want when you’re handing the reigns of your wedding over to someone else. We first met up about five months before the wedding to run through our ideas and timelines for the day. We then met the week before, and then again the evening before at the venue itself. Throughout the whole process, Kate was enthusiastic, fun, and went above and beyond to make sure things ran as smoothly as possible. She was supportive of our ideas while suggesting useful ideas that we wouldn’t even have thought of.
I’d highly recommend Kate for a Festival Wedding…
Ultimately, though, the best thing was having someone you could trust to oversee and coordinate everything on the big day. Our reception was in a village hall and we had a number of vendors arriving throughout the day. Kate got in touch with all our suppliers in the lead up and was the go-to person as they arrived and set up and if they had any questions. She knew every detail of our day which meant we were free to sit back, relax, and just focus on having the best time!
If you’re organising your own wedding but aren’t sure how to juggle everything on the day itself, I would strongly recommend getting an On Your Day coordinator. And if you’re looking for a friendly, hyper-organised and experienced coordinator, I would 100% recommend Kate Goddard!
